I create atmospheric paintings that approach reality from a tangent, taking ordinary things and tilting them just slightly out of context: a banana peel becomes iconic, streetlights behave like liquid, and a jellyfish floats through space. The result is something peaceful, yet somewhat strange. I work mostly in acrylics with some digital work. These cards and fine art prints are faithful reproductions of the original paintings, produced using archival materials and pigment-based inks. My background is in STEM but art is the only path that brings me joy. I paint to explore questions that are too big to be answered with words. I live in Manchester, a city of both melancholy and ambition - the perfect home for a navel-gazing artist.
