Sign a card (you've been invited to)

Someone has created a card using From All Of Us and sent a link for you to sign - what next? We'll help you through the steps, and the options available to you with the aim of being as friction-less as possible.

How to add a message to a card

The card organiser will have shared the unique GroupSign Link with you (for example on WhatsApp, Teams, Slack or email).

1. Open the link and view the card, and messages added by other people so far.
2. Click Add Message on any inside page to open the message composer.
3. Write your message, choose your preferred font style, colour and alignment. Hit Add to Card.
4. Use the Move icon to position your message where you would like it on the page.

Cards update in real-time — you can watch messages, photos, and edits appear live as other people sign. An indicator will appear in the bottom right corner to show how many other people are currently signing.

How to make changes to a message or photo

Once you've added a message or photo, you can still make tweaks and changes:

1. There are three ways you can edit your message or photo. Open the card:
   • on the same device and browser as when you signed the card
   • using the Edit link in the email you were sent when you signed the card
   • whilst logged in to your account
2. Tap on the message or photo you'd like to change, and tap the Edit icon.

You can make changes to the text and font style for messages, and you can replace the photo if you need to.

You will also see a toolbar across the top which allows you to:

• Move the item to next page or previous page
• Delete your message or photo

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I sign the card without creating an account?

Yes, absolutely. To make the process completely friction-free, we don't require you to register, log in, or provide any personal information when you sign a card.

Can I edit my message or photos?

Yes, you can edit your message and any photos you've added to the card.

• If you choose to provide your email, we will send you a secure Edit Link. This allows you to come back later and tweak any messages or photos you added in that session.
• If you do not provide your email, you can still edit your message and any photos, as long as you use the same browser on the same device.

Can the card organiser edit other people's messages?

No, the organiser can re-position messages but can never edit them. They can delete a message or photo if it has been added by accident.

How secure is the signing link?

Security and privacy are really important to us, we've designed our cards with these as a top priority:

• Each card has its own unique signing link, using a randomly generated 16 character code, meaning there are over 79 sextillion possible links - making them unguessable.

• It's important that you only share the link with audiences who you're happy to have access to the card - and don't forget to check the recipient isn't in those channels!

Do I have to pay to sign the card?

No, the organiser is responsible for arranging payment for the card.
